Solar and the Source to Sea Cleanup with the CT River Conservancy

Posted by on

The CT River Conservancy is the voice for the Connecticut River watershed, from source to sea. They are part of a multi-state collaboration working to protect and advocate for rivers and educate and engage communities.

Northeast Solar has been a loyal supporter of the CT River Conservancy for years and is a participant in the Source to Sea cleanup that brings together volunteers from the community to remove trash from the river and watershed. Over the years, volunteers have pulled everything from mattresses to plastic bags out of the river and have removed thousands of tons of trash!

The CT River Conservancy recently made an additional commitment to the environment when they installed solar on their historic Greenfield office building located right downtown. Northeast Solar installed the panels as part of our ongoing collaboration with Morey Phippen and Brian Adams, a couple committed to solar power and environmental protection.

This year, teams from all over the area are coming together to continue the cleanup, and there is still time for you to get involved!
